Engagement Ring Prices in Dubai: Real AED Bands by Carat Weight

Diamond engagement rings at La Marquise Jewellery in Dubai start at about AED 2,250 for a petite illusion design and reach about AED 18,950 for a ring with 1.34 carats of diamonds in total. Where a ring falls depends mainly on carat weight, clarity, colour and setting. You can browse current designs in our engagement jewellery collection.

This guide gives real price bands from our catalogue as of October 2026, explains what moves a price up or down, and shows how to build a budget. For help with choosing the style and shape first, read our guide to choosing an engagement ring.

How much does a diamond engagement ring cost in Dubai?

At La Marquise Jewellery, solitaire engagement rings in 18K gold range from about AED 3,250 for a 0.18 to 0.20 carat centre diamond to AED 10,250 for a 0.50 carat centre diamond with extra stones on the band. Illusion rings, which are built to look like larger stones, start lower, from AED 2,250. Rings with more diamonds in total, up to about 1.38 carats, reach AED 18,950.

These are catalogue starting prices, in AED, and they will change with the options you select. Always confirm the current price on the product page.

What are the price bands by carat weight?

The table below uses real rings from our catalogue. The carat weight shown is the centre diamond for solitaires, and the total diamond weight where noted.

Carat weight Ring Starting price (AED) Clarity and colour
0.18 ct Round Solitaire Fancy Band Ring 3,250 SI, FG
0.20 ct Round Solitaire Halo Ring 3,250 SI, FG
0.30 ct Round Solitaire Diamond Band Ring 6,250 SI, FG
0.31 ct Round Solitaire Halo Dual Band Ring 4,750 VS, GH
0.40 ct Cushion Solitaire Double Halo Ring 6,950 SI, G
0.50 ct Classic Round Solitaire 6 Prong Ring 4,750 VS, FG
0.50 ct Classic Round Solitaire Diamond Band Ring 10,250 VVS2, E, plus 0.31 ct on the band
1.34 ct total Je Round Illusion Channel Ring 18,950 Illusion design

Notice that two rings of the same 0.50 carat centre diamond can differ by more than AED 5,000. That is the effect of clarity, colour and the stones on the band, which is the point of the next section.

What makes one engagement ring cost more than another?

Five factors set the price, in roughly this order of importance.

1. Carat weight. Price rises faster than weight. A diamond twice the weight usually costs more than twice as much, because larger stones are rarer.

2. Clarity and colour. A VVS2 clarity and E colour diamond costs more than an SI clarity and FG colour diamond of the same weight. Our guide to diamond jewellery explains the four Cs.

3. Setting. A halo, a double halo or a diamond-set band adds stones and craftsmanship, which adds cost. A plain solitaire is the least expensive style.

4. Gold colour and weight. Our rings are handcrafted in 18K gold, and a heavier band uses more gold.

5. Diamond shape. Round diamonds usually cost more per carat than fancy shapes, because more of the rough stone is lost in cutting. Check this by comparing similar weights across shapes.

How do illusion rings change the price?

An illusion setting arranges several small diamonds to look like one larger solitaire. This is the most economical way to get a bigger look. Our Je Round Illusion Classic Ring comes in three looks, and the price rises with the look you choose.

Look Actual diamond weight Starting price (AED)
0.5 carat look 0.10 ct 2,250
1 carat look 0.24 ct 3,500
2 carat look 0.58 ct 7,500

The weights and prices are for the Je Round Illusion Classic Diamond Ring, and they show how an illusion ring gives the appearance of a much larger diamond for a fraction of the cost. Our blog on getting the solitaire look with Je explains the idea in more detail. Be clear when you compare: a 1 carat look is not a 1 carat diamond, and the product page gives the real weight.

What about rings above 1 carat?

Our ready-made solitaires currently go up to about a 0.51 carat centre diamond. For a centre stone of 1 carat or more, you can begin with our customised jewellery service, where you work through design, consultation with an approximate estimate, 3D renders, payment, production and delivery. This is the right route if you want a specific carat weight, shape or setting that is not in the catalogue.

For a sense of the size difference at each carat weight, see our diamond carat size guide.

How do small solitaires and fancy shapes compare on price?

If your budget is under AED 3,500, the Aura range is the place to look. The Aura Round Solitaire Ring holds a 0.19 carat diamond from AED 2,750, and the Aura Marquise Solitaire Ring holds a 0.18 carat marquise from AED 2,500. These delicate rings are a good fit for a first ring or for someone who prefers a refined look. If you want a bolder vintage look, the Gap Halo Solitaire Diamond Ring carries 0.48 carats in total from AED 7,950. You can browse more in our Aura collection and Gap collection.

Does a certificate change the price?

A certificate from a grading laboratory describes the diamond's weight, clarity, colour and cut, and it can add to the cost of a loose stone. For jewellery, the stated grades on the product page are what you should compare, and you should always ask what documentation comes with the ring. When you compare two rings at different shops, confirm that the grades are measured the same way. Our page on jewellery materials describes what we use.

How should you set an engagement ring budget?

Work backwards from what you want to see on the hand, not from a rule of thumb.

1. Decide the look first. Do you want a classic solitaire, a halo or an illusion ring? Our solitaire collection and diamond rings collection show each.

2. Pick a price band. Use AED 3,000 to 5,000 or AED 5,000 to see what is available.

3. Choose where to spend. If sparkle matters most, put money into cut and the setting. If size matters most, consider an illusion ring.

4. Allow for the extras. Include ring sizing and insurance, and ask whether the price includes a certificate.

If you are buying with a partner, our bridal page shows what to pair with the engagement ring.

What can you buy for AED 5,000?

A practical example helps. With a budget of about AED 5,000, you could choose the Classic Round Solitaire 6 Prong Ring with a 0.50 carat centre diamond, which starts at AED 4,750, or the Round Solitaire Halo Dual Band Ring, which starts at AED 4,750 with a 0.31 carat centre diamond. If you would prefer the look of a larger stone, a Je illusion ring with a 1 carat look starts at AED 3,500 and leaves room for a wedding band. The right pick depends on whether you value the real weight of the centre stone or the visual size on the finger.

What should you ask before you pay?

Ask for the diamond weight, clarity and colour, and ask whether the weight is the centre diamond or the total. Confirm the gold purity and colour. Ask about the size range and how resizing works. Each piece is handcrafted, so it might result in slight variances of carat weight and stone quantities. Our size guide covers ring sizing.

FAQs

How much is a 1 carat diamond ring in Dubai?

Prices vary widely with clarity, colour, cut and setting. At La Marquise Jewellery, our ready-made solitaires reach about a 0.51 carat centre diamond, while larger centre stones can be discussed through our customised jewellery service, where the consultation gives an approximate estimate. An illusion ring with a 1 carat look starts from AED 3,500.

What is a good budget for an engagement ring in Dubai?

A good budget is the amount that delivers the look you want without strain. In our range, AED 3,000 to AED 5,000 buys a well-made solitaire or halo ring, and AED 6,000 to AED 10,000 buys larger centre diamonds or more elaborate settings.

Is a bigger carat weight always better?

No. Cut, clarity and colour decide how a diamond looks, and an illusion or halo setting can make a smaller diamond look larger. Choose the carat weight that suits your hand.

Are engagement rings cheaper in Dubai?

We can only compare our own prices, which are shown in AED on each product page. For a fair comparison with any other jeweller, compare the same carat weight, clarity, colour, gold purity and certificate.

Can I customise an engagement ring?

Yes. Our customised jewellery service lets you design a piece through consultation, 3D renders, production and delivery.
